Our first farm.

At Oloosirkon Primary School near Nairobi we brought 1.25 acres of unused school land into onion production, harvested four tonnes, and gave paid work to 23 women from the community.

We also learned what goes wrong: flooding, theft, and relying on a few harvests a year sold at whatever price the market offers that week. Those lessons shape the next farms: more regular production, better site planning, stronger security, and a plan to agree prices with buyers before planting.
